How to Reserve Your ITW Private Boat Shuttle to the Lakeshore Trail

Looking to skip the crowds and start your Lakeshore Trail hike in peace?

Into the Wilderness offers exclusive, early-access private boat shuttles on Lake Chelan—only available with our guided hiking adventures or gear rental packages.

This is not public transport. This is a custom, backcountry launch service designed for those who value space, solitude, and a smooth start to their wilderness journey.

What Is the ITW Private Boat Shuttle?

Public ferries drop dozens of hikers at Prince Creek each morning—creating trail traffic, crowded campsites, and a race for quiet.
With Into the Wilderness, you get:
  • private launch, hours before the public ferry
  • Custom drop points along the Lakeshore Trail—well before the crowds
  • The ability to stop at scenic or historic points of interest along the way
  • quiet, intimate boating experience shared only with your small group
Whether you want to visit Moore Point, explore old homesteads, or photograph untouched shoreline, this is your chance to see the lake on your terms—before ever setting foot on the trail.

How to Reserve Your Shuttle in 3 Simple Steps

1. Book a Guided Adventure or Gear Rental Package
The ITW shuttle is exclusively available to guests booking:
  • guided Lakeshore Trail hiking experience, or
  • gear rental package (tent, food kit, Garmin beacon, bear-safe storage, etc.)
We do not offer boat-only services.
2. Choose Your Dates
Once your hiking trip is confirmed, select your launch date. Our boat runs April through October, lake conditions permitting.
3. Confirm & Prepare
We’ll send you:
  • Your launch time and pick-up location
  • Drop point options and optional scenic stops
  • A detailed packing list and trip brief
