Why Into the Wilderness Adventure :

When considering the cost of an Into the Wilderness trip, it’s important to first compare apples to apples. Our trips might seem expensive at first glance, but they offer a comprehensive, “turn-key” experience that ensures you have everything you need for a successful and safe backcountry adventure.

We provide top of the line gear, including tents, backpacks, sleeping mats, and bags, along with essential items like first aid kits, bug spray, cooking equipment, freeze-dried food, fire-starting and survival tools, and a Garmin satellite locator. Additionally, our trips include extensive multi-day, hands-on training in essential backcountry skills. We also manage all logistics, including monitoring your excursion, providing drop-off and pick-up services, and any other necessary transportation. This all-inclusive approach not only ensures your safety and convenience but also offers an unparalleled educational and outdoor experience, making the investment well worth it.

If you are ready for adventure, please contact us and we will begin the intake interview. All participants will be required to complete an industry standard health screening and answer a brief questionnaire. The interview and screening process has been designed to ensure you can safely participate. Once you have completed this step you will be sent an introduction packet which wil include all legal waivers and an itinerary for your selected adventure.

Cancellation Policy for Into the Wilderness Backpacking Adventure:

  • Cancellation Notice: Any cancellation of your booking must be submitted in writing to Into the Wilderness. Written cancellations must be sent via email to jgavin@i-t-w.org.Confirmation of Cancellation: A cancellation will not be considered valid until you have received written confirmation from a representative of Into the Wilderness. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the cancellation has been received and confirmed by Into the Wilderness.
  • Cancellation Timing and Fees:
      1. Cancellations Made 15 Days Prior to Departure Date: If you cancel your booking 15 days or more before the scheduled departure date, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid.
      2. Cancellations Made Within 15 Days of Departure Date: If you cancel your booking less than 15 days before the scheduled departure date, you will be charged 100% of the total cost of the services booked. No refunds will be provided for cancellations within this period.
  • Effective Date of Cancellation: The effective date of a cancellation will be the date on which the written cancellation request is received by Into the Wilderness, as confirmed by the written acknowledgement from Into the Wilderness.
